Previews are watermarked so the free flow stays a preview. When you upgrade, the same image becomes part of your gallery without the watermark, alongside the rest of your portraits.

Yes — that's the core of how it works, and it's the only thing that matters. A picture of a generic golden retriever is worth nothing to someone who owns a specific one, so your photos act as identity references for the image model and every prompt asks it to match the breed, coat colour and markings, ear shape, and eye colour exactly. The free preview lets you confirm this on your own animal before paying.

3–20 recent photos of one animal. Get down to their eye level, shoot in daylight rather than with a flash, and vary the setting and the angle. Head-and-chest framing works best. Avoid group shots with a second pet, heavy filters, photos where they're small in the frame, and anything blurry — a dark or dim photo of a black-coated dog is the single hardest case, so include a few taken in good light.

No. Your photos are sent to OpenAI's image-edit API as visual references for your order only. OpenAI says API data is not used to train or improve its models unless a customer explicitly opts in. We never train any model on your images.

Snapshot and Album deliver high-definition JPEGs — enough for anywhere you'd post a picture. Studio delivers extra-large print-ready portraits (1280×1920) that hold up framed on a wall. Every image is downloadable individually or as a full batch ZIP straight from your gallery.

Yes. You own the generated images outright and can use them for any lawful purpose — printed cards, gifts, an account run in your pet's name, a website, marketing materials, and more. See our Terms of Service for the full licensing terms.

Every pack includes the five core styles (Classic, Window Light, Golden Hour, Black & White, Colour Pop). Album adds Low Key and Garden, for seven styles. Studio includes all 12 — those seven plus Adventure, Cozy, Film, and the two painted styles, Regal and Storybook — along with extra-large print-ready portraits.

Not yet. Each order works from photos of one animal, because that's what makes the result look like your animal rather than a generic one. Two pets in one frame is the thing we're asked for most and the thing we're working on next; for now, two orders give you two portraits.

No account needed. You pay via Stripe, then receive a unique upload link by email. Your gallery is accessible via a private link sent to the same address. No password, no signup.

Your uploaded photos and generated portraits are stored encrypted on Cloudflare R2 and deleted automatically 30 days after delivery, so download everything you want to keep. We don't sell or share your images. You can request earlier deletion any time by emailing hello@petphotos.studio.
